Huawei Mate 30 series to adopt “Dual-Main” camera powered large IMX sensors
Previous pieces of information show Huawei is working really hard to make Mate 30 series the best flagship phones of this year and some fresh information about this series reveals that the company is making some serious change in its camera system.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro spotted in live images, shows very slim bezels and thin notch
According to the tipster DigitalChatStation, Huawei Mate 30 series will not adopt the periscope camera structure that’s currently installed in P30 Pro flagship. Instead, the company will save the space to fit two ‘main camera’ with double-size customized Sony IMX sensors.
The tipster said these sensors include a semi-custom 1/1.7-inch IMX600 series sensor with more than 40MP and the other one is also an IMX600 series lens jointly developed by Huawei and Sony but its megapixels capacity is not revealed, as its size expected to be around 1/1.5-inch.
By noting this information, If there are two main cameras, then there will be an Ultra-Wide angle lens and a ToF camera all of these makes a total of four which quite good for matrix design (similar to Mate 20 series) but we currently don’t know whether the Huawei increases or reduces the number of lenses from this setup.
Previously leaked screen protector shows that Huawei Mate 30 and 30 Pro will come with a curved edge display and now both of the devices features structural light, which the company had installed only on the Pro version. Moreover, the display size difference between both phones is significant.
Huawei has also filed a trademark with name CINE-LENS, which is cinema like photography technology and expected to be introduced with Huawei Mate 30 series but not confirmed by the company.
