Huawei Mate 30 Pro January 2022 EMUI software update is expanding
Huawei is expanding the January 2022 software update for more Huawei Mate 30 Pro smartphones running on EMUI 12 in the different global markets. Early this month, the company has initially started to roll out the new security improvements for Mate 30 Pro devices.
The January 2022 update expanding for Huawei Mate 30 Pro arrives with the firmware version EMUI 12.0.0.226 (C432E4R7P4) with an installation package size of around 300MB. However, this update is rolling out in batches and the version may vary from region to region.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro’s latest update installs the January 2022 security improvement that improves system security by fixing several threats and bugs. In detail, this security patch resolves a total of 68 CVEs found in the system and third-party libraries.

EMUI 12:
Speaking about the EMUI 12, the EMUI 12 journey of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro smartphone was started in November 2021 in the first phase. After concluding the EMUI 12 beta, Huawei has released a stable EMUI 12 software version for all corresponding smartphone users.
The EMUI 12 comes with a fresh user interface including new animation, flexible font adjustment, a separate notification, and control panel, a smart folder as well as much more. More interestingly, the EMUI 12 is designed and developed to provide a similar experience to HarmonyOS for global users.
How to update:
To update, open the setting on the smartphone, visit the system & updates section, tap on software updates followed by CHECK FOR UPDATES. Wait until the phone is connecting to the server and check for the latest update. If you found the update, hit the download button and install it.
Alternatively, open the My Huawei app on your smartphone, visit the software update section, and follow-on screen instructions to download and install the update. After completion of the update, the device will automatically reboot.
Points to remember:
During the update, make sure that your smartphone will be charged at 30% or above and have enough storage to download the update package. Also, use stable WiFi to the data connection.
