Huawei Mate 20 X 5G grabs March EMUI security update

Huawei Mate 20 X 5G is the first 5G smartphone from Huawei, the devices have been circulated around the globe and come with a giant screen of 7.2-inch and two 7nm chipsets Kirin 980 + Balong 5000.

This 5G device in China has recently started receiving EMUI 10.1 and outside of China, the Mate 20 X 5G now receiving a new EMUI update that comes with March security improvements.

The March 2020 security update for Mate 20 X 5G includes patches from Google and fixes to 1 critical and 20 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) related to some issues.

Note: The update is rolling out in batches, so it may take some time/days to reach your device.

HUAWEI Mate 20 X 5G EMUI VERSION:

This new update for Huawei Mate 20 X 5G comes with EMUI version 10.0.0.191 and a software package size of 146MB. This update is confirmed in the devices subscribed on Vodafone UK.

Note: EMUI version and size may vary depending on the country/region.

CHECK FOR THE UPDATE:

Open Support app
Click on ‘Services’ tab
Click on ‘Update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’

Via Settings:

Open Settings
Click on ‘System & updates’
Click on ‘Software update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’
