Huawei Mate 20 Pro (EMUI 11) starts receiving December 2021 security update
Huawei has started to rollout December 2021 security update for the Mate 20 Pro smartphone in the global market. This information comes amid the expansion of EMUI 12 beta testing for the device in different countries allow consumers to test this software ahead of the full-fledged release.
According to the information, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro December 2021 security update is rolling out with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.200. Users of the Mate 20 Pro will have to download 251 megabytes of the OTA software package to install the latest software update.
The latest security update for the Mate 20 Pro device is rolling out in batches. Therefore, you must have to wait for the rollout to reach your phone. To check the software update, please follow the instructions below to check for updates.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
You can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
Remember:
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- EMUI version and size may vary.
- Maintain enough battery and storage on your device
