Huawei Mate 20 Lite receiving a new software in April, installs new security patches
At the moment, Huawei is delivering the EMUI 11 major software upgrade for its eligible devices. But, in the meantime, the company is also releasing security patches for its devices for further security enhancements.
Now, Huawei has started sending a new software update for Mate 20 Lite smartphones. This update mainly comes with security improvement released in February 2021 that protects the device against threats.
To be mentioned about Mate 20 Lite, this smartphone is currently working on EMUI 10, but, its hardware and software are not compatible to run on EMUI 10.1 and above version.
So, the Mate 20 Lite users can check, download and install this firmware version on their respective phones because aside from security improvements, it also boosts device performance.

Before you upgrade:
- We recommend you take a backup of your important data
- Use a stable connection to download the update package
- Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started

- Huawei Mate 20 Lite smartphone getting EMUI 10 version 10.0.0.277 with an update size of 120MB.

Security: Integrates the Android security patch released in February 2021.
February 2021 Security Patch Details: This security patch fixes 2 critical and 26 high levels, and 77 medium levels of CVEs for improved system security.
HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
You can also request software updates through the Support app. To do this, open the Support app, go to the Service tab on the bottom bar, tap on the update, then select Check for updates and then download and install.
