Huawei likely to unveil a new HarmonyOS NEXT tablet later this year
A new input says that Huawei could unveil a tablet pre-installed with HarmonyOS NEXT in the second half of this year. The firm is working on several MatePad products for the time being, with better upgrades over the previous-gen models.
Tipster @BeijingDigitalMaster has said that Huawei is preparing a new HarmonyOS NEXT tablet for later this year. Apart from the flagship Mate lineup, consumers may also get the chance to experience the new software system on large-screen devices.
The blogger states that the tablet’s availability news is 100% accurate and we may soon hear the official announcement on this matter. Although the Chinese tech maker has not confirmed the leak yet. Hence we have to wait for some more details.
With the latest software system, we can also expect a new Kirin chip for the device. Recently launched tablets carrying Kirin 9000 derivatives hint that the Chinese tech giant has more overclocked core processors for its upcoming devices.
Huawei has various tablets in the pipeline including a new MatePad SE. The device has appeared on certification sites like Bluetooth and CMIIT, confirming its existence.
Even though these listings didn’t reveal much about the new model, it says that the approaching tablet will use a Snapdragon chip, just like its predecessors.
HarmonyOS NEXT for tablets:
An early input stated that HarmonyOS NEXT for tablets will bring a more simplistic and easy-to-navigate interface. Weibo tipster @FixedFocus tested the developer preview build on MatePad Pro 13.2 and found user-friendly functionalities.
The software exhibits a clear app bar at the bottom with medium-sized icons, letting you switch between these applications in seconds without lags or buffers.
Opening a particular application, say a Music app, will show clearer fonts and tabs so you can easily access the controls and other features. Things could improve more with the stable build in the time ahead.
