Huawei issued new patent to detect autonomous driving failure reasons

Huawei has recently filed a new patent that will ultimately help in detecting the root cause behind the autonomous driving failure. Eventually, it will describe the reasons for the abnormal functioning of the respective feature and aid in resolving it.

The description of this patent reveals that the company is working on methods to control vehicles as per the autonomous driving system. Accordingly, the operation begins when the smart car sensors collect the environmental data and driving status.

These inputs can be termed sensor data. Besides, it uses the automatic driving system to obtain the trajectory inputs of the vehicle when in driving position. Ahead, it compares the latest trajectory details with the received data. Based on these results, the system discovers if the autonomous driving system failed or working efficiently.

On the flip side, this method will look after the failure reason and enable the tested auto-driving system to control the vehicle. Thus, the new solutions that Huawei has proposed in the latest autonomous driving patent will help in finding the failure causes and improving smart car safety.
