Huawei is the only company in the Chinese PC shipment market to achieve positive rate growth in the Q1 of 2023, reports market researcher Canalys.

The data compiled by the tracker revealed that Huawei has achieved 34.1% annual growth with around a million units of shipment in the quarter. The tech maker sits in second place along with this new achievement.

Lenovo dominates the PC shipment market with a large shipment. However, it has a massive 24.1% market decline annually along with a 36% market share.

Total shipments of the PC sector in China fell 24% year-on-year to 8.9 million units. Among them, shipments of desktop computers (including desktop workstations) fell 28% to 2.8 million units.

While the shipments of notebook computers (including mobile workstations) fell 22% to 6.1 million units. Tablet shipments come into play with massive growth increasing 38% year-on-year to 6.5 million units.

Tablet Market:

Huawei is also playing well in the tablet market. According to the figures, Huawei grew its tablet shipments by 23% to 1.1 million units.

Apple leads the list with 2.5 million units of shipment and an annual growth rate of a whopping 106%. Honor and Xiaomi took third and fourth places, growing 66% and 13% year-on-year respectively. Lenovo took the fifth position as the only major vendor to post a year-on-year decline with its shipments down nearly 3% in Q1 2023.

Despite a challenging past year, Huawei claimed annual growth in both the PC and tablet in Chinese market by Q1 2023. This is a great sign for the company.
