Huawei is preparing a new phone similar to Honor Magic 5 Pro but slimmer
A new input suggests that Huawei may have a competitor for Honor that might reflect some aesthetics of the Honor Magic 5 Pro phone.
A tipster from Weibo shared that Huawei will be preparing a new smartphone identical to the Honor Magic 5 Pro. However, this phone would be slimmer than the Honor counterpart. Although, the tipster does not share an exact name for this device but speculates that the phone belongs to the flagship grade.
Launched earlier this year, the Honor Magic 5 series comes in three variants, Standard, Pro, and Ultimate Edition. The entire lineup is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 processor. It has an LPDDR5X+UFS4.0 high-performance storage combination.
Honor Magic 5 Pro is equipped with a 6.81-inch screen + 2848×1312 pixels resolution. The display supports a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive dynamic refresh rate. Also, the phone delivers 1300nit global maximum brightness and 1800nit peak brightness.
This is interesting news because both of these companies are trying to establish a good outlook for the future growth of the smartphone industry.
But the recent launch and attention towards the Huawei Mate 60 series is proceeding even with Honor. The tech maker has made a huge company in the smartphone industry with its latest flagship.
After launching a new phone at the IFA conference this year, Honor CEO Zhao Ming responded to a question from media related to Huawei. He congratulated Huawei “Congratulations to my old colleagues, I am really happy for them”.
While showing his optimism about the former parent company, he expressed enthusiasm for raising the competition in the segment.
“The (mobile phone) industry is full of people because of Huawei’s return. Possibility and charm. The pressure on the mobile phone market has never been less. I think that making the market more competitive is a good thing for this industry to be more valuable and attractive. If you expect the opponent to be weak and grow by yourself, this state will make you become the weak one yourself.” said Zhao (translated).
