Huawei is focusing on new production lines for next year’s devices
Huawei is preparing to empty the current product stock and focusing more on new production lines to ensure sufficient supplies of new products released next year.
Tipster FixedFocus has shared information that Huawei is cleaning the stock of old smartphones and preparing to switch production lines. The tipster also speculates that the company could launch various new smart devices starting by the end of this year and the launch carnival will continue throughout 2024.
Huawei still has a stock of old devices and recently, the company restored them on e-commerce websites including JD.com. For example, the Huawei Mate 40E Pro is running at a 4000 yuan price tag for the 256GB storage version. This smartphone was launched in 2022 and uses Kirin 5G chipset. The Mate 40E is also listed in a similar manner.
On the other hand, supply chain sources revealed that the company is nearly moving to the end of Huawei Mate 50 series stock. And, only a few Mate 50 Pro models are left in the inventory at the moment.
These phones are being released in batches. This will outpace them from production and would allow the company to shift its concentration only to new smartphones.
Later this year, Huawei is planning to unveil a series of new devices including a new flip foldable smartphone and probably the new Nova 12 series. All of these devices could equip 5G connectivity.
According to a past report, Huawei is looking to ship at least 50-70 million smartphones by next year. This will be the first major shipment of the year after 2020. The new change in plan comes amid the growing popularity of the Huawei Mate 60 series in China and it continues to revamp Huawei’s strategy for the next year.
