Huawei improves FreeBuds 6i call effect feature with new update

Huawei is releasing a new update for the FreeBuds 6i which optimizes the call effect feature. The company has also packed new enhancements as well as bug fixes for the earbuds in the latest firmware. Thus, users will get a more reliable and stable experience.

According to the changelog, Huawei is rolling out the call effect optimization update for the FreeBuds 6i with HarmonyOS 4.2.0.198 version. Make sure to have sufficient storage and battery level in your device as the earbuds firmware weighs 3.07MB.

The update doesn’t carry any major changes for the new earbuds. Although it improves the call effect feature of the device. As a result, users will observe a more clear and immersive sound while having an audio conversation with friends and family.

Users may also get a seamless connection while talking on phone calls without any interruptions. Apart from the calling effect, users may also get rid of internal issues (if any) or system glitches after installing the latest update on their audio wearable.

Huawei is rolling out the latest update in China under a phased rollout. It may take some time to approach all the device owners. However, you can try out installing the update manually, using the Huawei AI Life app. Just click on your device name and tap Check for Updates. To the available version, hit the Update button.

The company is currently busy with the HarmonyOS NEXT preparations. It will launch the HarmonyOS native public beta program on October 8. By the end of this year, FreeBuds 6i may also fetch the new beta upgrade. Hence, keep your device up-to-date.
