Huawei Hongmeng OS will install on a large scale of smart home appliances from Midea Group
Last November, Midea Group, one of the most popular Chinese appliance company launched the first smart home product that pre-equipped with Huawei operating system, Hongmeng OS (HarmonyOS).
According to the latest information, both Midea Group and Huawei have decided to take their collaboration to a big scale and planned to launch new smart home products this year. This cooperation between the two firms will be enhanced throughout 2021.
Media Group said that it will work with Huawei to break the limitation of hardware capabilities of a single device and launch new smart devices under the Internet of Everything scenarios.
With the combination of Midea devices and Huawei Hongmeng OS, the partnership will bring more devices based on a seamless cross-device interconnection ecosystem.
Midea group equipped with HarmonyOS offers a new range of intelligent home appliances including:
- Smart stoves
- Range hoods
- Dishwashers
- Water heaters
- Water purifiers
All of these devices can be easily accessed and controlled using a single smartphone such as Huawei Mate 40, bringing a new user experience for the consumers.
Distributed HarmonyOS:
HarmonyOS build upon the foundation of distributed technology that enables the software to establish cross-device connections and provide a seamless user experience. In 2021, Huawei aimed to install HarmonyOS in over 300-400 million devices, these include various smart products such as smartphones, in-car systems, IoT devices as well as home appliances.
