Huawei Home Storage testing WeChat backup feature for HarmonyOS 4.2 models
Huawei Home Storage device launched in 2022 is now testing the useful WeChat backup feature via the public beta activity. The respective feature will support all those models (phones and tablets) running on the HarmonyOS 4.2 software version.
The Home Storage device has fetched the ‘application backup’ capability – thanks to the HarmonyOS 4.2 beta upgrade. From the name, the feature will help in backing up applications of your phone/tablet, and can easily restore them whenever required.
When enabled, the significant function will backup the application’s data (WeChat) to the NAS (network-attached storage), from where you can retrieve the data in a click.
It is worth mentioning the feature only applies to those devices that are running on HarmonyOS 4.2 or the above version. Ensure you meet the specific requirement with your device to test the Huawei home storage WeChat backup feature.
