A new report by Canalys shows that Huawei HiSilicon continues to grow and made a shipment of 8 million units in the Q1 2024 global smartphone chip market. Compared to a zero last year, the company has shown notable changes in its progress card.

Canalys analytical data highlights that Huawei HiSilicon stands at the sixth rank in the Q1 2024 global smartphone chip market. It scored 2.7% of the market share.

Note: The report signifies the shipment of devices powered by HiSilicon Kirin chips worldwide. Compared to others, the growth is pacing at a slow rate, yet it’s just the beginning and we can expect major positive changes by the end of this year.

In recent times, Huawei silently introduced many new Kirin chips on the table. Even though the company didn’t promote any of these, it is enough to state that the OEM is moving forward with small steps and will achieve big success in this segment.
