Huawei Health app withdraws Google Play Store, still on App Store, Galaxy Store
Recently, the Huawei Health app listing has been removed from Google Play Store and it’s quite obvious why it happened. Huawei Health is the one-stop solution for all of your smartwatch features and data management.
According to the information, Huawei has removed the listing of the Health app from the Google Play Store. There could be multiple reasons behind this removal.
Before that, you should know that the app was on Play Store for a long time and published with the following URL (here). The link is now showing a “Not Found” issue, which comes only after the app is removed by Google or the publisher.
It is also found that the last signed APK had version 10.1.1.312 and was uploaded on the 15th of July 2020. While, the Huawei Health app was published first on March 15, 2017, on Google Play.
Removal:
Google continues to change its Play Store policies in the name of security improvements. Therefore, developers/publishers must have to comply accordingly. To do so, they need to apply the new changes in apps and publish a new version on Play Store.
Since the app is not updated after 2020, Huawei Health may have missed those new changes and removed them from Play Store. On the other hand, Huawei may also have to drop out from the Android platform by itself because it is no longer interested in the management.
AppGallery, App Store, Galaxy Store:
The other side of the story is, Huawei is keeping everything up to the latest for AppGallery, Apple’s App Store, and even Samsung’s app distribution platform – Galaxy Store.
This is quite amusing and if you want to download the app on your smartphone. Don’t worry, just open the Huawei Health app via AppGallery and get the app right away. Or you can just visit our Huawei Health page.
