Huawei has rollable display technology that looks awesome

On May 6, Huawei officially published a new patent entitled “flexible screen support mechanism and rollable electronic device” in China. According to State Intellectual Property Office, Huawei applied for a rollable display technology patent on October 31, 2020, and is now published with the number CN114439343A.

Following the patent details, the rollable display support mechanism, and rollable device have a simple structure and take small storage space. However, this new rollable display technology can be applied to future Huawei portable devices.

How it works:

• Adjacent support assemblies are rotatably connected through a first rotating shaft. The rotating assembly and the supporting assembly are rotatably connected through a second rotating shaft. And adjacent rotating assemblies are rotatably connected through a third rotating shaft.t

• The rotating assemblies can be rotatably connected relative to the supporting assembly Toggles and transitions between the first and second states.

• When the rotating assembly is in the first state, the axis of the first rotating shaft is collinear with the axis of the third rotating shaft, the adjacent support structures can rotate relative to the first or third rotating shafts, and the flexible screen support mechanism can be rolled.

• When the rotating assembly is in the second state, the axis of the first rotating shaft intersects the axis of the third rotating shaft, the adjacent support structures cannot rotate relative to each other, and the flexible screen support mechanism cannot be rolled.
