Huawei global wearable sales hiked 44.3% in first three quarters this year
Huawei continues to grow in the global wearable sales market for Q3 2024. As per a new report, the company has secured the first spot in the smartwatch shipment for the first three quarters of this year. It is making huge strides in the wearable sector.
IDC today published the “Global wearable device market quarterly tracking report”. It shows the sales figures of both smartwatches and bracelets (bands) worldwide.
The report further reveals the top five global tech vendors who have shipped the most wearables globally in the first three quarters of this year. Huawei is the first ranker on the list with the highest annual growth rate as well as market share.
According to the report, Huawei sold 23.6 million units in the global wearable sales market in the last three quarters. The company’s smartwatch shipment increased by 7.3 million units compared to the last year. It has also obtained a 16.9% market share.
Overall, Huawei’s global smartwatch shipment volume has jumped to 44.3% in the first three quarters of 2024. Thanks to newly launched wearables like the Watch GT 5 series, Watch D2, and the super amazing Watch Ultimate Green Edition.
All these wearables bear high-end features and hardware capabilities. Watch GT 5 and Watch D2 debuts with the first TruSense health sensing system. It improves health monitoring on smartwatches and offers more accurate and faster health reports.
IDC further mentioned that Huawei received immense attention in various markets this year. For instance Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Apple has ranked second in this ranking with 22.5 million shipments and a 16.2% market share. The company is seeing a decline of 12.8% in the annual growth rate.
Xiaomi is in the third spot with 20.5 million wearable shipments with a share of 14.7% and a decline rate of 26.5%. You can check other details in the report chart below.
