Huawei FreeBuds Studio – the overhead earphones is receiving a new update that comes with firmware version 1.9.0.162. According to the information, this update added a connection center that helps in managing connected devices.
As reported by Huaweiblog, Huawei FreeBuds Studio 1.9.0.162 update carries the installation package size of 2.53MB, which is very less in size. A few days ago, the Chinese counterpart of FreeBuds Studio received the HarmonyOS super device support update.

Update Note:
- Make sure the headphones have a battery level above 10% before you start the update.
- Do not disconnect the headphones during the update process.
Here’s how you can check for updates:
- Open the AI Life App and enter the main interface of Smart Life.
- Make sure that the headset phone/tablet is connected, select the corresponding headset card, and enter the main interface of the headset device.
- Click Firmware Update to enter the check update interface.
Before you begin, make sure that you update your AI life app to the latest version.
- Open the AI Life App
- Tap on the three dots on the top right corner
- Then, Check for updates
