Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 launched, brings 40 hours of battery and only 3.8g weight

Today, Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 earbuds launched for consumers. This new pair of earphones comes with a stylish look, a lightweight design, and up to 40 hours of music playback.

With 10 minutes of charge, this new earbud provides 3 hours of playback. A single earpiece can push up to 9 hours of backup with a full charge.

This battery backup goes up to 40 hours with the help of the charging box. In terms of talk time, the Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 support up to 5 hours of calling, which extends up to 24 hours with the box.

Light:

A single earpiece of the FreeBuds SE 2 only weighs 3.8 grams, while its predecessor weighs 5.1 grams. This is a massive weight cut and helps to improve comfort in the ear.

That’s not it, the FreeBuds SE 2 comes with 300,000+ analyses of big data and ergonomics simulation to increase the accuracy to detect the earphone.

Design:

FreeBuds SE 2 comes with a semi-in-ear design for earbuds. Also, the case is now square with a round shape. In case, the company has fed more battery life in that size. Meanwhile, the overall design of the earbuds matches FreeBuds Pro 2. However, the appearance remains simple.

Sound:

Unlike premium FreeBuds, the FreeBuds SE 2 doesn’t come with all-around noise cancellation. Instead, you will get call noise cancellation.

Connectivity:

Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 equips Bluetooth 5.3 protocol for reliable and stable connectivity. The audio and video synchronization provides an immersive experience for the content you watch on the connected device.

To connect, all you need to do is to take the device near a Huawei phone and it’ll prompt the connection window. There’s also a manual press-and-hold option on the earpiece to open the connection wizard. Once connected, Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 will establish a connection automatically every time you open the charging box.

These new Huawei earbuds come with IP54 dustproof and water splash resistant. So you don’t have to be afraid of sweat. In terms of controls, Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 has a built-in sensor, which supports gestures and touch operations. You can play/pause/change a playback or answer/hang a call.

Price and Availability:

Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 launched at 179 yuan ($24, €22) and it’s on pre-sale starting today in China. While the first sale is set for July 19. For a limited time, Huawei is giving away a 20 yuan discount, afterward, the retail price will turn to 199 yuan ($27, €25).

The global launch of the device is currently unconfirmed but it’s very likely to happen.
