Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the FreeBuds SE 2 earbuds that accompanies a significant ‘triple-tap gesture’ capability. From the name, you can tap three times on your earbuds to carry out certain tasks and operations quickly.

As per the inputs, Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 is obtaining the latest firmware with HarmonyOS version 1.0.1.129 and a software package of 736KB. Note that this is a phased rollout and will take some time to reach all of the device owners.

Talking about the changelog, the Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 update brings the triple-tap gesture feature. It lets you switch to the next or the previous song. Thus, you don’t need to unlock your handset to jump on your favorite music.

Users can set the gesture mode to none, left, or right earbuds to conduct the task at their convenience. In addition to this feature, the update optimizes the stability aspects of Bluetooth for better connections between devices.

Meanwhile, the firmware enhances the sound quality and makes the audio appear louder and more transparent. Hence, you should install the update as it shows up on the notification panel.

How to install the update?

To check for the latest version, you can visit the Huawei AI Life app on your phone. Now select the device name and let the app look for the new versions. Though the entire process could be time-consuming, so wait patiently.
