Huawei files trademark for Petal Mail, could be an alternative for Google’s Gmail

On January 19, Huawei has applied a trademark named Petal Mailbox in China. The international classification of this trademark cover 38 types of communication service. The current status is applied for registration.

Previously, Huawei filled for two trademarks, Petal Search and Petal Maps. However, both of these apps are already available for commercial use and provides instant searches and mapping services for consumers.

Trademark doesn’t reveal much of the information about these features or the details but we can expect that the Petal Mailbox could be an alternative for Google mail or Gmail.

On the other hand, Huawei has not officially confirmed the launch of any new products with Petal Mail at the moment. we’ll keep you posted.
