Huawei has started expanding the Mate 40 Pro July 2024 update in the global market. After rolling out the firmware in Europe and the Middle East, the company is bringing the newest security benefits to more device owners across the globe.

With the onset of this month, the Chinese phone maker pushed off a new security patch for the Mate 40 Pro. This rollout was noted earlier in the limited countries. However, the company is now expanding its reach to more global regions.

According to the changelog, Huawei is expanding the Mate 40 Pro July 2024 update with the EMUI version 13.0.0.272 and a software package of 496 Megabytes.

What’s New?

The changelog reveals the July 2024 security patch for improved security aspects. It enhances the core mechanism of the device and makes the overall performance more efficient. Thus, the phone holders will receive a better user experience.

Other than the new security patch, the firmware doesn’t count any major changes. Although you may observe increased stability and optimized usability of the handset. We suggest all Mate 40 Pro users download this software at the earliest.

For starters, the update is coming via a phased rollout and may take time to cover all the eligible units. However, the device owners can install the firmware manually.

To download this firmware, open the Settings app > tap on System & Updates > Software Updates. Now the phone will reach out to the server to get a firmware build for you. Although the entire process could be time-consuming. Hence, wait patiently.

Huawei is currently working on two Mate models – Mate 70 series and the Mate X6. The next-gen foldable could feature AI capabilities as well as a high-end Kirin chip. It may further adopt a super flat screen with a circular camera bump, like Mate X5.

But whether these flagship devices will make their way to the global floor or will remain confined in the home ground is still a mystery to be resolved.
