Huawei equipment enables Swiss telecom to spread 5G in 248 town and cities

Despite the extra pressure from the U.S., mobile telecoms around the world are still choosing Huawei over other equipment providers and recently a top swiss communication provider has supplied 5G network coverage to 248 towns and cities with the help of Huawei equipment.

According to Sunrise, As of the end of June 2019, Sunrise already supplies more than 248 cities/locations across Switzerland and boosts data rates of up to 2GBps and high-quality coverage.

Many covered locations are located outside metropolitan areas to provide non-fiber optic customers with Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services to the last mile, said the second largest Swiss mobile operator.

On May 2, Sunrise becomes the first mobile operator in the world to launch Huawei’s first ever 5G smartphone Mate 20 X 5G, with the price tag of CHF 997 ($981, 6610 Yuan).
