Huawei Enjoy 80 may adopt improved in-display fingerprint sensor
Huawei has unveiled a flagship lineup on the ground and it has now shifted its focus on a cost-effective smartphone. A new leak suggests that the next-gen Huawei Enjoy phone (probably Enjoy 80) may feature an improved in-display fingerprint sensor.
FixedFocus hints that Huawei is working on a new Enjoy phone with better hardware capabilities. This could be the Enjoy 80 series as per the phone update cycle.
The Chinese phone maker updated its Enjoy series last year in December by introducing the Enjoy 70. Now the tech giant is in rumors to unveil a new entry-level phone this month and it might be the all-new Enjoy 80 handset.
Inputs further reveal that the Huawei Enjoy 80 phone will adopt an improved in-display fingerprint sensor. The company may also use a mid-range or entry-level Kirin chipset for the new device. The information is uncertain and requires accuracy.
An optical fingerprint sensor relies on light rays that capture a person’s finger, creating an impression of ridges and valleys. It collects the data and then focuses it on the camera. Hereafter, a converter transforms the image into a digital format.
The optical (under-display) fingerprint sensors are cost-effective and easy to use. Hence, they are perfect for an entry-level or mid-range smartphone.
It is unclear what changes the upcoming Enjoy smartphone will bring over the previous-gen models. Though it may offer an enhanced experience to consumers.
