Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro, 20 Plus, and 20 SE phones receiving May 2021 security update
Huawei has started rolling out the latest software update for Chinese exclusive devices from Enjoy series. The adapting model includes Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro, Enjoy 20 Plus, and Enjoy 20 SE smartphones.
According to the information, this new firmware update for above mentioned Huawei devices installs the security patch released in May 2021 for improved system security.
New EMUI Version:
Huawei Enjoy 20 Pro smartphone owners receiving EMUI 10.1.1.214 upgrading from EMUI 10.1.1.211, while the Enjoy 20 Plus getting EMUI 10.1.1.170 from EMUI 10.1.1.169. On the other hand, Enjoy 20 SE owners grabbing EMUI 10.1.1.160.

May 2021 security patch details: This security update fixes different levels of exploits and issues including 3 critical, 10 high, and 4 medium levels of CVE for improved system security.
HarmonyOS 2.0 Progress for Huawei Enjoy 20 model:
At the moment, HarmonyOS 2.0 is really a desirable OTA update that every Huawei smartphone owner wants to install. With the unveiling of HarmonyOS 2, Huawei has also flooded a new HM OS upgrade plan for over 100 devices in China.
In the following scenario, HarmonyOS 2 closed beta testing slots for 28 devices including Enjoy 20 Pro 5G, 20 Plus, and more. In the aftermath of the recruitment process, Huawei has begun delivering the HarmonyOS beta test build to selected testers.
To date, the Chinese tech giant has delivered only one HarmonyOS beta update for these devices that brought a new home screen, control panel, service center, HarmonyOS font, and more. However, there will be more beta rollout that will be initiated in the coming month.
Things to know:
- We recommend you take a backup of your important data.
- Use a stable connection to download the update package.
- Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.
STEPS TO UPDATE YOUR DEVICE:
To manually download this update via mobile Settings– open Settings > click on the System & updates > open Software update > tap on Check for updates option > (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after installation, restart the device.
Alternatively, you can download it via Support App – open Support app on your device > click on the Service tab > click on the update button> tap on Check for update option> (if an update is available) click on Download and install > after installation reboot the device.
