Huawei drops Mate 60 series price ahead of Mate 70 launch

Huawei drops the Mate 60 series price. This is the first time that the top-end models received an official price reduction of up to 800 yuan. The tech giant has taken this step ahead of the upcoming flagship lineup, the Mate 70 series launch in China.

According to the official details, the standard Mate 60 gained a price cut of 500 yuan. The Pro variants of this lineup received an 800 yuan discount. Consumers can directly purchase these handsets or pick 0% interest at a 12-month installment option.

The company has not listed any price drop for the Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design. But there could be significant cost adjustments for the flagship model in the future.

Apart from the Huawei Mate 60 series price, the company drops the cost of Nova 12 models. The Nova 12 Lite and Ultra variants are available at a 300 yuan discount.

Huawei has reduced the Mate 60 series price ahead of the Mate 70 debut. It seems the company is all set to showcase its next flagship lineup to the real world and the latest move is part of this journey. We don’t have to wait much for new products.

Mate 60 series has recently completed its 10 million unit shipments. The ultimate lineup features a Kirin 9000s 5G (7nm process) chip and a two-way satellite calling capability. It also brings a robust structure and the 2nd-gen Kunlun Glass support.

Other features include a triple-lens arrangement on the rear side with 50MP + 12MP + 48MP (Mate 60 Pro). It also has a 13MP at the front side with a 3D face recognition feature. Though this capability remains absent in the standard variant.

Mate 70 Series – a better upgrade?

Huawei is testing various new technologies and features for the upcoming Mate 70 lineup. The list includes upgraded satellite capabilities, camera enhancements, and a powerful Kirin chip. It would be worth seeing how the new device becomes a major upgrade over its predecessors.
