Huawei dispatches August 2023 update for Mate 40 Pro as it gets closer to stable EMUI 13
Huawei is rolling out an August 2023 update for Huawei Mate 40 Pro smartphone in the global market. The latest software release comes amid the company’s preparation to release stable EMUI 13 for the phone.
The changelog says that the August 2023 update for Huawei Mate 40 Pro comes with EMUI version 12.0.0.347 and it has a downloadable package size of 294 megabytes. The company is sending this update in batches and it may take some time to reach all of the models.
Aside from the device running EMUI 12, the company is also testing EMUI 13 under beta activity. Huawei Mate 40 Pro is one of the first smartphones to receive EMUI 13 beta in Europe and other parts of the globe.
Therefore, further builds are subject to an improvement over the existing software. Next Huawei will release a stable software update for all of the Huawei Mate 40 Pro models sold in the global market.
To check the latest software update, you need to navigate to system settings. Then tap on the Software updates section. The phone will report back with a software build, if available. Alternatively, you can claim new firmware via the HiSuite application on your PC or MAC.
The update won’t delete your personal data but it’s recommended for you to backup important files.
