Huawei Mate 60 smartphone has become a hot topic of discussion after its discontinuation news on the online social media platform, but the company denies the report saying that it is a false rumor that has been spread among its consumers.

The story began when a Weibo tipster mentioned that the Huawei Mate 60 may soon withdraw from the smartphone market. He further added that the company is planning to reduce the respective device production to focus on upcoming products.

Eventually, the news raised a heated talk among netizens. Many said that the firm is looking for this option to free up some space and Kirin chipsets for the next lineup.

While it seemed the assumption could be true, Huawei denies the Mate 60 discontinuation report. The company’s insider cites that it is untrue. The firm is not planning any such action and consumers are welcome to buy their favorite flagship handset.

“There is no discontinuation of production, and consumers are welcome to continue purchasing.” – said a Huawei insider.

The insider noted that the Huawei Mate 60 series is running in normal production and after-sales services. Both standard and Pro variants are available on the official Mall with 12GB + 512GB and 12GB + 1TB storage versions respectively.

Despite a silent launch, the Mate 60 lineup obtained huge attention in the consumer market. It even helped the company to secure the top spot in the Chinese smartphone franchise. Moreover, it returned the Kirin 5G chip with powerful capabilities.

Thus, there are numerous reasons why the Chinese tech giant won’t take the step for Mate 60 discontinuation. The device is still in demand for its high-profile features, satellite-calling capabilities, and top-class camera performance.
