Huawei denies reports of reducing smartphone production
Recent reports claimed that Huawei has reduced its smartphone assembling orders to Taiwan’s Foxconn as an after effect of the US restrictions but the company has now clearly denied these allegations and said its production level is normal.
Huawei temporarily reduced smartphone production following the US restrictions
“Recent media reports are propagating a rumor that Huawei is cutting back production of smartphones in response to its placement on the US Commerce Department’s entity list. Huawei refutes these claims. Our global production levels are normal, with no notable adjustments in either direction.” said Huawei.
Previously, it was said that Foxconn stopped several production lines for Huawei phones in recent days as Huawei reduced orders for new phones.
Now with this clarification, we can assume that Huawei is still keeping its full-fledged smartphone on track but we’re yet to know how much the company’s sales have been reduced by the US restrictions.
