Huawei creating great 5G healthcare value in Thailand
Alongside China, Huawei is also creating great 5G healthcare value in Thailand, said Thai Deputy PM and Public Health Minister. The Deputy PM surveyed Huawei Technologies (Thailand) and talks about its 5G healthcare, transportation, network security, and other digital technology.
Furthermore, Huawei’s rotating chairman Hu Houkun also joined the Thai minter via video conference and wishes future corporations. On 28th October, Thai Deputy PM Anutin make a visit to the Huawei Thailand office in Bangkok and investigates the development of industrial applications such as 5G, cloud, AR/VR, Harmony OS, digital energy, and others.
The motive of this meeting was to check the 5G healthcare arrangement of Huawei Thailand and talk about the future corporation. Besides, a great team of experts from the health field also accompanied the Thai Deputy PM during the visit. The membership includes the following:

- Dr. Thongchai Lertwilairatanapong, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health
- Dr. Somsak Akksilp, Director of the Medical Service Bureau of the Ministry of Health
Furthermore, Huawei Asia Pacific Region VP- Chen Mingjie and CEO of Huawei Thailand- Deng Feng also presented during the visit. After the visit, Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister parent his gratitude for Huawei to create value for Thai society in terms of 5G healthcare, network security, and transportation.
Huawei Thailand: 5G Healthcare
At the meeting, the “Thailand 4.0” plan was discussed to carry out the 5G construction in the country. The automated medical supplies transportation system, artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis and treatment, telemedicine, and other technologies made a notable contribution during the global epidemic.
In September 2021, Huawei and the Ministry of Public Health comes in a 5G medical cooperation to create an ICT-based Internet ecosystem in the country. Simultaneously, it also works to promote the harmonious development of urban and rural medical resources.
In addition, the management, Huawei, and leading medical organizations are negotiating the digital transformation. The leaders are making good use of 5G, AI, and cloud to build an ASEAN digital hub with the aim to develop Thailand as a medical star.
At present, Huawei manages over 3,000 employees with 88% of locals. The company has created more than 8,500 job opportunities to upskill the local talents. Furthermore, it has also founded the ASEAN Academy that has trained more than 30,000 people since 2019. Moreover, the company plans to extend cooperation and help the country with its technologies.
