Huawei BKY-W20 tablet is coming and ahead of its launch, the device has been spotted on Geekbench. The latest listing reveals the overall performance of the new MatePad product. It also hints which processor the device will carry on board.

Inputs highlight that the new Huawei BKY-W20 tablet on Geekbench scored 1230 points in the single-core and 3544 points in the multi-core testing.

Further details show that the device equips an octa-core chip with 12 threads. It has two 2.49GHz large cores, six 2.15GHz medium cores, and four 1.53GHz small cores. Judging from the architecture, the chipset seems to belong Kirin 9000W series.

Kirin 9000W debuted with the MatePad Pro 13.2. Later, the company used this chip in MatePad 11.5 S tablets with optimized performance cores. The standard 11.5 S tablet features 9000WL whereas, the Smart model equips 9000WM processor.

CPU architecture:

  • Kirin 9000WL: 2 cores @ 2.48GHz + 6 cores @ 2.15 + 4 cores @ 1.53GHz
  • Kirin 9000WM: 2 cores @ 2.35GHz + 4 cores @ 2.15 + 3 cores @ 1.53GHz

The new Geekbench listing shows a likewise CPU core arrangement except for the large cores. Hence, the MatePad BKY-W20 chip could be a new derivative of the Kirin 9000W series. Things may get more clear with the official launch of the device.
