Huawei begin testing HarmonyOS NEXT for smart TVs

Huawei began testing HarmonyOS NEXT for its smart TVs. The company is exploring and adapting useful features that can enhance the overall smart TV  experience for users. It will also optimize the existing capabilities of the TVs with the new upgrade.

As per an official reminder on the Huawei community, the company is testing HarmonyOS NEXT features for smart TVs. The eligible TV models are unconfirmed. But the OEM will likely deliver the new software build to the majority of devices.

Inputs further reveal that HarmonyOS NEXT will bring new enhancements to the home screen, remote assistance, remote home security, and smart picture frame uploading.

With the new upgrade, users may also observe an optimized super desktop feature. This tool enables you to explore mobile phone apps and games on the smart TV.

Apart from these tools, there could be more additions that the company will unveil for the smart TVs with the HarmonyOS NEXT beta upgrades. Most of these features have already been adapted to HarmonyOS NEXT and are ready for public testing.

HarmonyOS NEXT: Progress

HarmonyOS NEXT.0.070 closed beta has started rolling out to the Pura 70, Mate 60, and other eligible tablets. At the same time, the company is testing HarmonyOS NEXT for Kirin 990 phones. It reflects that the new upgrade will cover many old models.
