Huawei Kirin PC chip is rumored to enter a large-scale testing phase. After the smartphone SoC, the Chinese OEM aims to develop its own computer-dedicated chipset. It looks like, the company won’t take much time for this PC chip development.

FixedFocus noted that the Huawei Kirin PC chip has now entered large-scale internal testing. The respective chipset has been circulating in launch rumors for a long time. However, the new leak hints that the wait will be over by the first half of 2025.

As per the testing progress speed, the tipster says that Huawei could unveil the first Kirin PC device in H1 2025. Some netizens even said that the chip could debut in the first quarter of the next year. Though the exact time is still uncertain.

Speaking of the internal testing, the tipster said that the overall chip progress is quite smooth. It may deliver powerful performance to Huawei PCs in every aspect.

On the flip side, AI could be a major highlight of the Kirin PC chip. The tech giant will likely implement advanced techs that can offer smarter tools to notebook users.

Kirin PC was expected to debut this year alongside HarmonyOS PC. Both new products aim to upgrade the Huawei PC section with self-developed elements rather than foreign materials. However, it seems these items have been delayed till next year.

Kirin PC + HarmonyOS PC = Self-Sufficiency

Huawei is on the journey of self-sufficiency. The company is constantly opting for new ways that can reduce its dependency on foreign products. After the Android OS, the tech giant is seemingly ready to exit Windows and Intel from its PC products.

Note that the company hasn’t confirmed the Kirin PC chip or HarmonyOS PC launch date yet. Though we may discover the accurate details on this matter by the next month.
