Huawei Band 9 users have started collecting the stable HarmonyOS 4.2 update with several useful features. The company has also optimized a few sections and existing features of the wearable to ensure a responsive and seamless user experience.

Stable HarmonyOS 4.2 has reached many Huawei wrist gadgets so far. Although the major update was missing for the smart band users. Now the tech giant began releasing the new build for Band 9 and it will soon approach the previous-gen models.

Inputs reveal that Huawei Band 9 is getting the stable HarmonyOS 4.2 update with the 4.2.0.201 version. Don’t worry about the storage as the package weighs 8.05MB.

Despite a small package, the update doesn’t compromise number of new features or improvements for the wearable. The changelog reveals the smart TV sync capability, support for digital car keys, and a complete sleep guidance feature.

Huawei has also enhanced the monitoring of certain health sensors like heart rate and made the workout modes more efficient. Thus you will experience a new phase with the HarmonyOS 4.2 update on your Band 9. Check the changelog below.

New Features:

  • Supports connections with the Huawei Health app on smart TVs. When selecting your favorite fitness course, details like heart rate, calories, and more monitored by the band will sync with the smart TV in real-time.
  • Added support for digital car keys. Users can use it to check the specific supported models in the car key of the wallet. (Only supported when paired with HarmonyOS and Android phones).
  • Added a sleep guidance function with instructions on the sleep health page.

Optimizations:

  • Improved the accuracy of swimming lap statistics.
  • Optimized the display of daily heart rate measurement curves to improve the accuracy of heart rate monitoring.
  • Optimizes indoor running speed calculation in specific scenarios.
  • Enhance system stability in some scenarios.
