Huawei, Baidu, Ali forms Large AI model standardization committee

Today, the Chinese National Standards Committee announced a National Artificial Intelligence Standardization General Group. This is the first large-scale model standardization committee including Huawei, Baidu, Ali, and other big Chinese tech enterprises.

The announcement came during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2023) and certification to form this committee was distributed at the event.

Purpose?

The Large Scale Model Committee will undertake the formulation of large-model standardization with the purpose of promoting the combination of large-model technology and standardization practices. Also to promote a healthy development of the artificial intelligence industry.

The leader of the large-scale model project group is required to have a high professional level in large-scale models, their theoretical research, and industrial application. This is to be familiar with the development trend of international cutting-edge science and technology in the field of large-scale models, laws and regulations, and standards.
