Huawei Assistant testing data sync feature for wearables via new update

Huawei is releasing a new public beta update for the Assistant app which brings a “data sync to wearables” feature. This addition will enable users to check certain information related to booked flights through their earbuds or smartwatch.

The company opened the Huawei Assistant public beta activity yesterday. It will remain active till October 21. Hereafter, the OEM may release the stable version.

Interested users can register in the app beta pool via the Members Center app. One can identify the new app update with the 14.1.12.200 public beta build. It also carries a downloadable package that weighs around 49.2 Megabytes.

Looking into the changelog, Huawei Assistant is testing a data sync feature for wearables (watches and headphones). The tool will only work for flight bookings. It will show the detailed plan of the journey on the wrist gadget or headphones.

For instance, arrival of flight, departure, other timings, route, and more.

The company further made changes to the express card design. Users can issue parking cards using HiCar as well as check the alerts of water and gas fees.

Changes

  • Optimize the style of express card where there is no logistics information.
  • After binding AirTravel, flight itinerary data can sync to the watch and headphones.
  • Smart car supports issuing parking cards through HiCar.
  • New water and gas fee scenarios were added to the bill payment notification.
