Huawei AppGallery will ban HTTP IAP Callback in October

Huawei is taking new measures to secure the AppGallery payments system and it’s announced that Huawei will now stop supporting HTTP callback in In-app payment services.

Huawei explains that the move is aimed at better network connection and providing a secure and reliable user experience. There, Huawei apps with an IAP payment gateway will restrict the use of unsafe HTTP callback addresses to fulfill security requirements.

For those who are unaware, the company has also shared a deadline, which is October 1, 2023. Afterward, Huawei AppGallery will put some limits on the HTTP callback addresses and prevent developers from receiving payments.

In simple words, users won’t be able to pay the app developers, leading to feature issues. Therefore, all of the developers should get the corrections before the above-mentioned period.
