Huawei appears in top 3 Q1 2024 Chinese smartphone market listing: TechInsights

Huawei is doing well in the Chinese smartphone market and the Q1 2024, the company has ranked among the top 3 smartphone vendors in its home ground, says TechInsights. The research firm has shared a new report on China’s smartphone franchise.

New facts and figures from TechInsights for the Chinese smartphone market in Q1 2024 reveal that Huawei has shipped around 10.5 million units within the first three months of this year. It has also achieved a market share of 16.6% in China.

Hence, the overall YoY growth of Huawei has reached 118.8% which is the highest among all the smartphone vendors in the native region. With this, the Pura 70 developer obtained the third position in the first quarter of the 2024 China phone market listing.

OPPO is standing in the first place with a shipment value of 10.7 million units with 16.9% of the market share. Although the company has stepped down to a 14.4% YoY growth rate. Honor ranked second with 10.6 million units shipment and 16.7% market share.

Vivo and Xiaomi are showing up at the fourth (16.1% market share) and fifth (15.0% market share) positions respectively. While the former has declined to 11.3%, the latter has risen by 11.8% YoY growing scale in the Chinese smartphone franchise.

TechInsights notes that China’s smartphone market is gradually moving towards new heights. In the first quarter of this year, the market shipped a total of 63.3 million units with a 1% YoY increase. Hence we can expect more positive insights in this market in the coming days.
