Huawei announces September launch conference for wearables
Huawei today announced a new Autumn full-scenario product launch conference for September 24 in China. This new event will unveil new devices for consumers.
This is the second product launch event the tech maker has planned for this month. On Sep. 10, Huawei launched its new Mate XT smartphone, the world’s first triple-foldable display device. It was introduced prior to the next Mate series flagship, which is expected to launch in November.
However, the purpose of this new event is completely different from smartphones. Instead, Huawei has some wearables ready to reveal to customers.
It will launch Watch GT 5 series including two new models. These smartwatches will bring a refreshed design language and a couple of color variations.
These new smartwatches will debut today (September 19) at Huawei’s product launch event in Barcelona. Based on the previous launch strategy, these wearables will have additional features for Chinese customers.
Among the latest technologies, Watch GT 5 will highlight the new TruSense health and fitness tracking system. It focuses on providing accuracy, comprehensiveness, speed, flexibility, openness, and iteration.
The Chinese tech company has invested in several hardware technologies including optical sensors, electronics components, and new watch materials. These will allow the device to adapt to different wrist sizes and operate in uncertain weather conditions.
It has a new sensing module including multi-region optical path design, multi-spacing optical path architecture to improve optical path consistency, and ultra-opaque glass processing for better signal quality.
With improved sensors and new algorithms, Huawei can provide better heart rate, SpO2, blood pressure, and other health vital readings. It is also confirmed that the new TruSense system can measure more than 60 health and fitness indicators.
Other Products
Aside from the Watch GT 5, Huawei plans to reveal a new Watch D2, a Green version of Watch Ultimate, a new 110-inch smart TV, and smart traveling with HarmonyOS. More information will be available at the September 2024 Huawei launch conference.
