Huawei and Zain KSA signs MoU for 5.5G network technology

During the MWC 2023, Huawei and Saudi Arabian telecommunications operator Zain KSA signed an agreement of strategic cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a 5.5G city.

Under this agreement, Huawei and Zain KSA will work together to promote technological innovation for 5.5G evolution. They will also expand scalable offerings to individual, enterprise, and government customers.

Zain KSA and Huawei will collaborate to enhance technological innovation, improve user experience, and develop new use cases. The collaboration will involve providing a seamless gigabit experience in both indoor and outdoor scenarios through the large-scale deployment of MetaAAU and 5G carrier aggregation, as well as LampSite digital indoor solutions.

Additionally, both parties will enhance the performance of Massive MIMO networks and develop end-to-end autonomous network operation and optimization capabilities.

Huawei and Zain KSA will also work together to develop new use cases for the Internet of Things (IoT) and private network solutions. Furthermore, the partnership brings innovative cooperation in areas such as ultra-compact sites and green energy solutions, among others.
