Huawei and Sun Yat-sen University unveiled ChatZOC AI model for eye health

Huawei and the Zhongshan Eye Center of Sun Yat-sen University have unveiled the ChatZOC AI model to ensure better eye health care in China. The latest smart technology is expected to provide better solutions in the medical field for consumers.

ChatZOC development started in March 2023 under the Zhongshan Ophthalmology Center. By the end of 2023, the Eye Center joined forces with Huawei to look after technical issues and build the respective AI model more efficiently.

During the occasion of the 29th Chinese Eye Care Day, Huawei and Sun Yat-sen launched the ChatZOC AI model for eye health scenarios. The company explained how this solution will prove a helpful and significant product in the medical sector.

The ChatZOC Ophthalmology model aims to treat eye disease with high-quality diagnosis and treatment knowledge. It runs on the Zhongshan Eye Center big data platform and Huawei’s AI computing frame to work smartly, complying with guidelines.

ChatZOC also contains advanced features like efficient fine-tuning of the basic model parameters, retrieval enhancement, and more. Huawei has also imposed such a mechanism that helps the model to process data and complex tasks more precisely.

Huawei’s new AI model also aids communication between doctors and patients. It can help in diagnosis, treatment, teaching, interacting with medical students, thinking, and increasing the potential of humanistic care without any interruption.

Another notable benefit is that ChatZOC offers 24-hour eye health consultation services to patients. This ultimately increases the service efficiency by 75%.

The Chinese OEM believes that such creations play wonders and remain in demand for eye disease prevention. It aids several pain points and enriches the patient experience. Zhongshan also put forth its points and said that it will deploy the latest AI model to sea, land, and air for better coverage of customers in the region.

Zhongshan further mentioned that it will continue to merge equipment + experts + AI to build such technologies jointly with Huawei. Thus both firms will bring more enhancements to the subject of “protecting people’s eyes”.
