Huawei and FAW Group could mass produce autonomous driving products by 2025
Huawei and China FAW Group are working on autonomous driving products, which are likely to be mass-produced by 2025. The automobile industry has recently made a statement on this matter to clarify the new product development progress.
China’s FAW (First Automobile Works) Group is an automobile-making company. It manufactures and sells vehicles such as buses, trucks ranging from light to heavy-duty categories, and automobile parts in the native region.
According to the details, Huawei and FAW Group signed an agreement in October 2023 for AI smart driving solutions and high-end cockpits. Both firms indulged in the verification test of the Huawei Cloud Pangu large AI model to check its caliber for the automobile segment.
In the latest edition, some investors asked FAW Group to share some details regarding the Huawei autonomous driving products development. Here, the automobile company said that they are expecting to see the mass production of new products by the end of 2025.
The information further reveals that Huawei’s autonomous driving solutions already integrated into L4 low-speed scenarios. Currently, the products’ development has reached the conceptual design stage. However, things will take time, and the first product launch in the next year.
FAW Group’s Chairman – Wu Bilei believes that the company’s successful partnership with Huawei has led to progressive results in the past eight years. Hence, Huawei’s solutions are worth using to accelerate the growth of automobile sales and the industrial economy.
