Huawei and CATARC inked strategic cooperation to accelerate digitalization
China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) and Huawei recently signed a cooperation to accelerate digitalization in China. Both parties will also indulge in automobile treatment such as testing, verification, and other matters.
The CATARC Institute is a group of companies that manage the Chinese automobile industry. It aims to provide products for cars and other services like tests and certifications that are necessary for developing and launching a smart vehicle.
According to the details, Huawei and CATARC held a signing ceremony in Tianjin, discussing digitalization in the automobile field. Both firms signed a strategic cooperation regarding the significant development of automobiles in China.
Further inputs say that Huawei and CATARC foresee an all-round change in policy standards, testing, and certificates, as well as digital transformation, following this partnership. The ceremony took place in Tianjin on August 7th.
With this agreement, Huawei also becomes eligible to support the China Automotive Summer Test. CATARC launched this program in June this year and carried out numerous tests on Huawei-powered vehicles by JAC Group, BAIC, AITO, and Chery.
Thus, both parties will conduct advanced tests to make the vehicles more solid and digital for consumers. Other objectives and goals of this strategic cooperation will become clear with the upcoming Huawei-backed EVs.
