Huawei and Beijing Unicom built world’s largest 5G-A 3CC commercial network

Huawei and Beijing Unicom have completed the world’s largest 5G-A 3CC commercial network technology. With the latest development, the Chinese OEM has achieved another milestone regarding its efficient network technology solutions.

According to the details, Beijing Unicom achieved full 5G-A coverage after deploying the 3CC network tech. The latest technology covers some major core areas like the Fourth Ring Road, sub-center of the city, scenic spots, subways, stadiums, and more.

The new 5G-A 3CC commercial network completion in Beijing is part of an urban program. Huawei initiated the world’s largest 3.5GHz 2CC urban network with Beijing Unicom in August 2022. Since then, the effectiveness rate surpassed 85% in the city.

Last year, both firms deployed 2.1GHz network tech in the city to offer a high-quality network experience to residents. Now Huawei and Beijing Unicom have jointly completed the commercial use of the world’s largest 5G-A 3CC network solution.

Inputs further reveal that Beijing Municipal authorities supported the 5G-A network commercialization with a 3-year action plan (2024-2026). Starting this year, the plan will help the local telecoms to develop a dual 10000-gigabit benchmark in the city.

As of now, the 5G-A 3CC commercial network reached 4000+ base stations including areas like schools, subways, business districts, and even residential areas. It has an effectiveness rate of 70%+ with better networking experience.

With the latest technology, Huawei and Beijing aim to provide reliable 5G-A network support that can boost scenarios like watching videos, ultra-clear live streams, playing cloud games, and more. The President of Huawei 5G & LTE TDD field – Li Jie says:
