According to a Huawei insider from China, Huawei’s new smartphone strategy is to increase the life cycle of the smartphone business with a limited number of chipsets. To provide the best user experience, Huawei will launch the P50 and Mate 50 series with the 5nm Kirin 9000 processor.
The Kirin 9000 is the most full-featured 5G Soc to date, which has the capability to handle multi-tasking operations and delivering improved performance and power efficiency.
The insider also revealed that the company has already reserved the big amount of Kirin 9000 chipset for the upcoming flagships, Huawei P50 and Mate 50. The insider reveals, even if Mate 40 sold out, Huawei has a considerable quantity of Kirin 9000 chipset for the upcoming P50 and Mate 50 smartphones.
