Huawei smart car solution business reportedly collected $1.38 billion in sales revenue for H1 2024. If the news is accurate, this is the biggest revenue for the company’s automotive sector. The amount is equal to the revenue of the past 2 years combined.

36Kr Auto reports that the Huawei smart car solution business unit is seeing a sales revenue of 10 billion yuan in H1 2024. The collection is as of early July this year.

Details from Huawei’s annual reports show the company earned 2.1 billion yuan and 4.7 billion yuan in 2022 and 2023 respectively. But the current figure is just the double of these revenues. It seems the firm’s automotive business started turning a profit.

Huawei has reportedly gained “far ahead” revenue in the first half of this year, compared to the revenue combo of the past two years. But there’s a big catch.

When contacted Huawei to verify the news, the company said that one should refer to the official authoritative information for financial details. Thus, the accuracy of this report is still uncertain. Things will get clear when the OEM announces this news.

If true, Huawei might have gained most of the benefit from the AITO brand. As per some details, the HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) sold over 190000 SERES AITO SUVs in the first half of 2024. It’s 90% of smart vehicles under the HIMA umbrella.

During an event, the Chairman of the Huawei Automotive Solutions Business Unit – Yu Chengdong said that its car business turned a profit in the first quarter of 2024. There is more achievement to come in the way. Yet an official confirmation awaits on this subject.
