Huawei AI Search picks new features via 16.0.1.200 public beta update
Huawei AI Search application is getting a bunch of new features and some useful improvements with the latest 16.0.1.200 public beta firmware. The Chinese tech giant has rolled out the new version to a handful of app testers for the moment.
AI Search app is an exclusive service for Huawei device owners that lets you enhance the search experience on your handset. One can look for notes, emails, contacts, calendar events, web pages, or new apps from the AppGallery, and more.
To maintain performance efficiency, Huawei is rolling out the 16.0.1.200 public beta update for the AI Search app. The build holds a lot of amazing features and refinements that will ultimately upgrade the overall user experience.
Note that the public testing activity is live till May 28. Hereafter, the OEM will give final touch-ups to the app and release the stable version. The update carries a package of 30.4 MB. Hence ensure sufficient storage in your handsets.
In terms of changes, the tech giant has enriched the animation aspects via the newest version. When pulling the home screen downwards to enter the AI search lane, you will observe a new transition animation, smoother and better than before.

Before Search
- One-Click Photo: Added a new selected time search suggestions feature to the search box and Celia’s suggestions. Now you can search images with their name and time. Although it only supports HarmonyOS 3.1 and above devices.
After Search
- Find pictures easily: Added a new ‘text found in image’ section that enables you to search for text keywords in images to find them easily.
- Direct access to in-app services: Users can now directly access the Baidu Map’s route check services with one click. All you have to do is search for ‘check route’.
- More intuitive search results: Highlights matching content when searching for local content like contacts and settings.
- Optimize search result sorting: Local content takes priority while online content shows up later and appears in partitions.
App Launch
- Now there is a new way to launch the app on your Huawei device. Swipe down the home screen to enter the AI search interface.
