Huawei achieves its highest ever global quarterly smartwatch market share in Q3 2023: CR
The global smartwatch market has recorded excellent growth in Q3 of 2023 following a slowdown earlier this year, says Counterpoint Research.
Currently, the researcher has not revealed the shipments for the quarter and only shared the details of the market growth and top performers.
Huawei achieved a 56% YoY increase in smartwatch shipments for the Q3 2023 and 14% of the overall market share. Meanwhile, its HLOS smartwatches increased to 122%. This performance from the Chinese company is led by Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro released in Q2 2023.
Furthermore, the recently released Huawei Watch GT 4 is delivering good performance among consumers. The increase in Huawei’s shipments was due to the return of its smartphones and the bundled sales model introduced by various sales channels
“Hi-level operating system (HLOS) smartwatches, typically featuring higher specification and price, have grown largely driven by Huawei in Q3 2023 as the company posted its highest quarterly performance ever.” wrote Counterpoint Research Analyst Woojin Son.
Apple controlled nearly half the smartwatch shipment in Q3 2023, accounting for a 45% share with a 7% YoY growth. Meanwhile, Samsung lost about 19% of its YoY growth but still operating at 18% of the global smartwatch market.
To be mentioned, Fire-Boltt has also regained a solid spot as the all-time highest quarterly shipment in India, taking the overall smartwatch shipments to a new height.
