Honor will play a big role in expansion of HMS ecosystem and HarmonyOS: Honor President
Honor president George Zhao AKA Zhao Ming sent a message to staff and consumers on the new year, regarding the company’s 2020 journey and its role in Huawei’s overall growth.
George said, in 2020 Honor will become the Don Quixote of the modern era and ready to play a big role in expanding the Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) ecosystem.
HMS is a set of applications and services from Huawei for its device ecosystem and to provide a smarter, faster and better seamless experience.
The official also talked about the company’s operating system – HarmonyOS and in house chips, saying that the company will also push development for these sections.
“Honor will take advantage of its young army (consumers) and work with Huawei brand to create a new ecosystem of self-developed chips + Hongmeng OS (HarmonyOS)” he added.
Previously, Huawei’s rotating chairman – Eric Xu recently greeted Huawei’s staff and customers about the company’s situations and business summary in 2019 as well its upcoming challenges in 2020.
Xu added that Huawei would in 2020 “go all out” to build its Huawei Mobile Services ecosystem, Xu described it as a necessary requirement to sell smart devices in markets outside of China.
