Honor Watch 4 LTE smartwatch gets first update with WeChat and system improvements
Honor Watch 4 smartwatch is receiving its first update with a number of new system improvements as well as an addition of a WeChat app for wearable users.
This first firmware for the LTE Honor watch comes with software version 17.0.0.227 and a downloadable size of 370MB. Users can download this update via smartwatches or connected devices. Since the watch is currently retailed in China, the released firmware may also concern limited users.
Specifically, the update optimizes the system’s stability, fixes bugs, and improves the onboard features. Also, it will add a new WeChat app along with a WeChat instant payment feature. Honor Watch 4 users can download this new software update via the Honor Health app, from here select your device and navigate to the settings menu.
Earlier this month, Honor launched Watch 4 smartwatch with a 1.75-inch AMOLED square display. It’s bright and easily visible in broad daylight. The watch frame is made of aluminum alloy for better strength. It comes with three color options including Obsidian Black, Morning Glory Gold, and Cloud Water Blue.
Honor Watch 4 offers up to 10 days of battery life in typical usage, this is a big battery backup for all of the users. Also, the watch brings standalone 4G LTE connectivity without a smartphone. This helps the users to stay connected with notifications and calls even when the phone is out of reachability.
